Co-operative Business of the Year

Westland has come out on top at the recent Co-operative Business New Zealand Awards, taking out the Co-operative Business of the Year award for 2018.

Winning this award is a testament to the team effort and hard work of the entire business.

In presenting the award, the judges mentioned that “Westland has successfully re-invented itself using the co-operative business model as a strength.”

The judges noted the large role we play in the community and particularly the environmental initiatives that we have completed in the past two years. They also recognised the significance of our recent EcoVadis silver status.

Other award winners included Foodstuffs New Zealand, Farmlands and Silver Fern Farms.
