Toni joined Westland as Chief Executive in 2016, having spent a large part of her career within the Danone Group as Managing Director of Nutricia Australia and New Zealand; Managing Director of Danone Dumex (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd; and Managing Director of the Danone dairy business in Indonesia.

Dorian Devers
Chief Financial Officer

Dorian started with Westland as its Chief Financial Officer on 21 August 2017. British-born, Dorian’s background includes working for the Linde Group (formerly the BOC Group) since 1997. Prior to joining Westland he was Linde’s Financial Director for the Africa, UK and Ireland region, as well as Group CFO and Board member for Afrox - a subsidiary listed on the Johannesburg stock exchange. The Afrox role involved leading all aspects of finance for a huge region that covered more than 20 countries, serving more than 400,000 customers and with revenues of NZD2.5 billion.

Dorian also has prior New Zealand experience, having worked as CFO for Elgas, the largest Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) business in the South Pacific. During this time, he supported the establishment of Elgas New Zealand and served on the Liquigas Board.

He has worked on significant mergers and acquisition deals across multiple sectors and countries, supported the successful development of capital intensive business opportunities, and led the restructuring of complex businesses to deliver sustainable growth.

Craig Betty
Chief Operating Officer

Joining Westland in July 2017, Craig's remit is to ensure effective productivity, with a strong focus on safety, quality and sustainability. Westland’s manufacturing, quality and supply chain functions are all the responsibility of the COO. Prior to joining Westland, Craig was Regional General Manager Operations for the lower North Island for Fonterra and has had a career with Fonterra dating back to 2002. Prior to that he worked for such companies as Mainland Meats, Heinz Wattie, Huttons and Glaxo Pharmaceuticals.

Mark Lockington
Company Secretary

Mark Lockington

Mark Lockington joined Westland Milk Products in 2002 as Financial Controller before becoming Company Secretary in 2008. Prior to joining Westland Milk Products, Mark worked in various financial, accounting, administration and management positions throughout New Zealand and Australia in the agricultural, mining and infrastructure sectors.  Mark is also involved in a number of community organizations and is a trustee and Chair of Development West Coast’s Finance and Audit Committee and a trustee of the recently formed Pike River Disaster Relief Fund.  Mark is a qualified Chartered Accountant, qualified Engineer (NZCE Civil and Structural).

Gary Yu
General Manager - China

Joining Westland in May 2017, Gary is a Chinese national who has a tremendous amount of experience working in the China market. Most recently he has been the Managing Director of Griffith Foods for the Greater China region. Prior to Griffith Foods, Gary  worked in Coca Cola China, Unilever Bestfoods, Rich Products and Nestle China in sales, marketing, R&D and supply chain managements in the Greater China Markets. His experience covers Food Service, Retail as well as B2B customer segments, product portfolios, and market geography developments. 

Rick Walker
General Manager - Sales and Marketing

Rick was appointed to the role of General Manager Ingredient Sales in September 2013, following almost 20 years’ experience in the New Zealand dairy industry. In this role Rick is responsible for managing Westland’s global ingredients sales portfolio, which includes milk powders, proteins, cream products and bio-actives.

Prior to joining Westland in 2011, Rick held a variety of sales, trade policy and account management roles in New Zealand, the USA, Europe, Australia and the Middle East, with the majority of his dairy career spent in international markets. Rick is driven by the desire to build mutually beneficial long term relationships, to work with customers in identifying new ways Westland can add value to their businesses, and to make Westland an integral part of our customers' future success.

Caro Findlay
General Manager - People and Safety

Caro Findlay BW

Caro joined Westland in 2015 after previously working in Human Resources at the Canterbury and West Coast District Health Boards. Caro was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in 2002 after graduating with a LLB and BA. She has previously worked at Parliament in a communications role, and for Immigration New Zealand in London. She has lectured at Polytechnic level in Business Communications, Employment Law, Labour Relations and HR. Caro combines her interest in law, communication and people in her current role as Head of People and Safety.

Simon Bastion
General Manager - Operations

Simon Bastion web

Simon was appointed General Manager Operations in December 2014, following almost 2 years as Manufacturing Manager. Simon has over 23 years’ experience in the dairy and beverage industry in New Zealand and offshore. Prior to joining Westland, Simon was General Manager Operations for Aujan Industries based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia manufacturing UHT juices, non-alcoholic beer and cordials. Simon also worked for Almarai in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia manufacturing fresh milk, desserts, yogurts and fermented milk products. 

Simon focuses his efforts on delivering on the company’s key performance targets and strategies through team work and continuous improvement.

Raul Elias-Drago
General Manager - Supply Chain

Raul Elias Drago BW

Raul comes to Westland following a 20-year career building and optimising supply chains for dairy (Nutricia), food ingredients (Firmenich), rural (Farmlands) FMCG businesses across New Zealand, Asia and Europe. His specialty is in establishing customer facing supply networks that are fast, flexible and cost effective over distance and through borders. Raul is trained in chemical engineering and psychology.

Jeremy Edmonds
Interim Chief Financial Officer

Jeremy Edmonds BW

Jeremy Edmonds C.A. joined Westland Milk Products in November 2016 as Interim Chief Financial Officer, overseeing the Finance, Audit, Tax, Treasury and Information Services teams. Jeremy has 22 years experience in the food and beverage sector in New Zealand and the UK, Asia and the USA. Prior to returning to New Zealand in 2012, Jeremy had been based offshore for six years with The Coca-Cola Company, based in Singapore and Atlanta, USA. Most recently he was Chief Financial Officer for Villa Maria Estate Ltd.
